T & D Cats

On Wednesday we explored T&D Cats, and learned tons of new information about animals we have heard about and some that were new to us.  Be on the lookout for our class book coming home.  It was a cold day, but we still had tons of fun!  We even went to a state park and played on the beach.

Mini-Thon

We had a blast on Friday engaging in Mini-Thon which supports the Four Diamonds Fund.

And were amazing by the stunts of Pittsburgh Superstars!

As a school we raised $3,550.20!!!!  Great work everyone!

I was able to attend the Young Author Contest Awards Ceremony to support the three winners from our classroom!  I am so proud of all my writers, and loved seeing Amelia, Nathan, and David be celebrated for their success.

Goodbye Ladybugs!

After watching, observing, and researching our ladybugs as they changed from a larva, to pupa, and finally adult ladybug, we had to let them go explore the world!  We wrote about our wishes for them, and read those aloud as we watched them fly away.  We also used this time to do our Earth Day scavenger hunt which was postponed due to the rain.
