Bellefonte Field Trip

As a culmination to our year, where we have explored many facets of the community.  We explored our own on our field trip to downtown Bellefonte.  We were able to experience the courthouse firsthand, as well as the library, the train station, and Weis Market.  It was a busy day where we learned so much about the community we live and grow in!
At the courthouse in the jury box.
On the witness stand with Judge Kistler.

We learned about the important role of a probation officer-sorry about the picture.

We met Princess, a  canine witness advocate, who helps alleviate stress for those who come to the courthouse.

She could do many cool tricks!

Go Second Grade!

Mrs. Sarge gave us important information about the summer reading program, the history of Bellefonte, and of course read us a great book!

We learned about the history of the train station.

I'm really going to miss them!

Exploring the produce department at Weis.

Seeing how pizzas are prepared.  We even got to enjoy a slice :)

Observing baking and decorating skills.

Of course we were also able to enjoy cookies, yum!

Entering the freezer.

A little dramatic

Inside a trailer where goods are stored and delivered.
