Winn Dixie

Our recent read aloud was Because of Winn Dixie by Kate DiCamillo.  We engaged in many discussions about this text, watched the movie, and compared the two.  This book was quite popular with the kids, who even took it upon themselves to create their own scripts and perform a play for the class.
