On Tuesday, we discovered a leprechaun had created a complete mess in our classroom. In an effort to catch this sneaky leprechaun, we created traps to find this silly guy. Our traps were covered in gold, sparkles, rainbows, ladders, and signs to trick him. During recess he showed back up, but all we were able to catch was a bit of fabric from his pants! It was such a fun St. Patrick's Day!

Reading Counts Assembly
On Friday, we had our first Reading Counts assembly to award students who have reached milestones with their RC points. There will be another assembly at the end of the year. Students in our class have worked hard and continue to set goals for themselves :) Thank you to the families who were able to attend!
Catapults
During our science writing unit, the students engaged in an experiment with catapults. Students wrote lab report exploring whether a ping pong ball or cotton ball would go farther when being flung by a catapult. We had a lot of fun and wrote wonderful reports!
